Designed with comfort in mind This FR balaclava is designed with comfort & flexibility in mind which make it the perfect head base layer. Flat lock seams provide additional comfort – especially when worn underneath hard hats. The UltraSoft flame resistant material is also durable and lightweight. Elasticity allows one size to fit most.
Stay safe & compliant With an arc rating of 12 cal/cm2 and HRC/CAT 2, our UltraSoft Knit Balaclavas comply with relevant safety standards: ASTM F1506-10a; OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269; NFPA 70E-2015 compliant for Arc Flash; CSA Z462-15 compliant for Arc Flash (Canada)
Fabric technology UltraSoft material is designed with both comfort & safety in mind. The unique blend of 88% FR cotton and 12% high tenacity nylon create a material that is not only comfortable & soft to the touch, but one that fiercely protects. The nylon on the outer surface protects against abrasion to protect the balaclava wear life, while the cotton fibers are focused toward the skin to optimize comfort. and will not melt, drip, or ignite.
